I moved away from DC seven years ago and have basically lost my Nats fandom, but one of the coolest sports moments I have ever witnessed was watching Bryce Harper steal home after Cole Hamels purposely hit him with a pitch a couple weeks after Harper was called up in 2012. Nats Park just exploded.
Sorry Phillies stole all your players, but you do have the w s win! Btw bunting is a lost art. I was a fair at best baseball player, but I learned to bunt I don’t think players practice it anymore like my little league coach made us
How did Phillies "steal all the nats players"? Maybe if DC didn't cheap out with contracts and offer mostly deferred money deals they might still have some players.
Rendon felt the same way when he went to LA. And DC traded away Soto to the Padres. DC is to blame. Not the Phillies
Harper is now loved by Philadelphia area sports fans as well. He lives not far from where I live, and some of my friends have run into him at local businesses. He is invariably polite and nice to them.
What a nice memory for you and your boys! Had to be such a great night for all of you. My son is a Bryce Harper fan and went to see him when he was with the Nationals. My son is a diehard Yankees fan but knows good players when he sees them and traveled from NJ to DC. Living outside of the Philly area he doesn’t go to many Phillies games as he’d rather see the Yankees but for a baseball fix, he sees an occasional Phillies game and loves to see Harper.

That had to be really cool to be there in person and see those missiles he launched.
