I remember watching--I was studying for the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bar exams, but how could I NOT watch that low speed chase?

I remember that evening clearly. I was 6 days from graduating high school and was pulling a shift at the restaurant I worked at. Every TV in the place was eventually showing the chase. I don’t think I’d ever seen that many people stare quietly at the TV wondering what in the hell was going on. 9/11 was the next time I experienced something similar. But at that time in 1994 and on through his trial and verdict in 1995 it was surreal to live through.

For me, an unforgettable day similar to The Magic Johnson announcement of being HIV positive. Everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing. I and a group of friends were at Dodger Stadium and everyone was watching the Chase on the scoreboard. Truly eerie all the more so because OJ was a super hero in LA.

Thanks for "the replay" of a day in sports that is truly unique. Hopefully, it will never happen again due to the tragedy that marred it.

I watched the "chase" because I had just recently moved from Long Beach CA and recognized some of the backgrounds being passed by.

I cannot recommend the 30-for-30 any higher. I even got my non-sports-loving husband to watch it (but he had worked in broadcasting when he was in the Air Force) and he appreciated it.

June 17, 1994 was my parents 10th wedding anniversary. They were in New York City celebrating and noticed people crowded around TVs outside.

I was watching the NBA Finals at my grandparents and I was wondering what would happen if OJ Simpson showed up at their house. It was so weird being glued to basketball and rooting hard for the Knicks, while also wondering what the heck was going on.

True boring story: My friends and I were hanging out going to a Subway for dinner on that Friday night and going back home to watch a rented VCR movie. No cell phones with news alerts in those days. We had no idea we missed one of the biggest TV news events until the next day.
