I saw the run flipping through channels last weekend and had to rub my eyes and check Google when I saw the kid was nine. I know in some Olympics kids are 12/13 iirc. Crazy lol
I will never forget watching this 25 years ago. We were on our way back from a family trip to San Diego, sitting in the airport, and there was one of those multipart screens at our gate, showing the X Games. I was utterly mesmerized. Absolutely amazing!

Speaking anecdotally, I live near a skate park and seeing a lot of the kids out there doing many of the same cool tricks like Tony Hawk is amazing!
Tony Hawk was my hero as a kid and I thought he was the coolest person ever. Glad to see a new generation who could do the same for them as well.
