I used to babysit for a couple back in the day, who were Oakland Raiders season ticket holders, die-hard fans, who went to all the games.

I'm a Bears fan, but I would be tempted to rank the 1985 Bears behind the 1984 49ers, who were dominant on both sides of the ball. I can't speak to the 70s teams as I was too young to remember watching them. What the '85 Bears had, however, was the scariest defense I've ever seen (and yes, I know that the 2000 Baltimore Ravens broke some of their records, but still...............). They reached the Super Bowl without giving up a point, shutting out both the Rams and Giants. In Super Bowl, the Patriots were gifted a field goal early in the game when the Bears turned over the ball deep in their own territory, and then New England didn't score again until the game was well out of reach and Chicago was pulling people in from the stands to play defense...........

The Patriots losing in the Super Bowl that year was so funny. So cathartic. So karmic. So good.

The Saints started out 13-0 and then lost their last three games of the season. My eye suddenly started twitching. But then they won the Super Bowl so all is well!
